This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic professional HSSE Manager to become a key member of the Lombrum Infrastructure project team in Papua New Guinea.


This position will be based on Manus Island on a Fly in Fly Out (FIFO) rotational schedule.


Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner and provide advice and support to the project management team on all HSE related matters, driving HSE performance to maintain a safe working environment

  • Implement and promote safety culture on the Project through the Clough Way to achieving Zero Harm. Foster a culture of inclusion, responsiveness, integrity and accountability across multiple stakeholders.

  • Develop, implement, maintain and monitor performance of the project HSE management system, including HSE management plans and procedures, risk identification and assessment, management of the critical controls program, training and inductions, audits and inspections, incident investigation, lessons learned and HSE improvement opportunities.

  • Management of HSE team to support, train, develop, recognise/reward and sustain HSE performance and delivery of Zero Harm HSE objectives and performance across project

  • Embed HSE behaviour expectations through training, coaching and engagement opportunities with supervisors to ensure aligned and consistent HSE outcomes

  • Specific goals, objectives and key performance indicators will be established for this role. Performance will be judged against these goals and KPI’s.

You should possess the following:

  • 10-15 years’ experience in resource on major EPC or EPCM projects within oil and gas or mining and minerals sectors

  • Proven track record in the delivery of safety initiatives

  • Project start up and execution experience

  • Subcontractor management experience

  • High level of reporting and analytical experience

  • Degree qualified or equivalent - Preferred

  • WHS Diploma or equivalent WHS related discipline – Preferred
