SecureEnergy, a Clough Elecnor Joint Venture, has been selected to deliver the engineering, procurement, and construction of Project EnergyConnect. EnergyConnect is a new 700 km 330 kV transmission line running from Wagga Wagga in NSW to Robertstown in SA. The project scope also includes the construction of supporting infrastructure, such as substations and access roads along the route of the transmission line. When built, EnergyConnect will enable future renewable energy projects to connect to the electricity grid.

 

SecureEnergy are currently seeking an experienced Senior Community and Stakeholder Engagement Officer. You will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of the Community and Stakeholder Engagement Management Plan to achieve key deliverables and produce positive outcomes for project stakeholder and impacted communities.

The position will be based in Wagga Wagga in regional NSW.

Key responsibilities:

In this role you will support the Engagement Manager with implementation of the SecureEnergy JV Community and Stakeholder Engagement Management Plan for Project EnergyConnect. This will include:

  • Implementation of a proactive and multi-faceted approach to engage and empower the community and stakeholders along project alignment throughout the life cycle of the project.
  • Advising the Engagement Manager in managing significant communications and community and other stakeholder engagement risks. Coordinate the timely and sensitive response to matters which are of interest or concern to the community including; project design, significant milestones, changed traffic conditions, construction activities.
  • Support the execution of media announcement opportunities and produce marketing collateral to focus on the long-term benefits of transformational infrastructure.
  • Implement a rolling program of activities such as key stakeholder briefings, public displays, website and social media updates, newsletters and letterbox drops to communicate issues and engage wider community.
  • Implement the development and maintenance of community relations specific induction and internal communications tools to ensure best practice is upheld across in all areas where the project is active.
  • Regularly update and implement strategy, management plans, forward outlook matrix, key messages, protocols, and approvals processes.
  • Work closely with the technical streams to ensure known stakeholder requirements are proactively considered when developing design and construction program.

 

Your skills and experience:

You will have demonstrated experience and understanding of implementing communication and engagement strategy and plans for major infrastructure projects including:

  • Experience liaising with key stakeholders and local communities.
  • Previous knowledge in developing and implementing policies, procedures and communicate these to internal and external stakeholders and forums.
