SecureEnergy, a Clough Elecnor Joint Venture, has been selected to deliver the engineering, procurement, and construction of Project EnergyConnect. EnergyConnect is a new 700 km 330 kV transmission line running from Wagga Wagga in NSW to Robertstown in SA. The project scope also includes the construction of supporting infrastructure, such as substations and access roads along the route of the transmission line. When built, EnergyConnect will enable future renewable energy projects to connect to the electricity grid.

 

Key Responsibilities

As the Transmission Line Project Manager, you will play a key role in the planning, procurement and the safe and successful delivery of this exciting new project, this will require you to:

  • Develop the strategy, methodology and budget to deliver the substation packages for the project
  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, and the commercial teams to establish the project scope and deliverables
  • Ensure the project substation design and on-site activities are delivered to program and budget
  • Engage and manage consultants and subcontractors as required

 

This role will be based within our Sydney project office for up to 12 months with a focus on approvals and planning prior to migrating to site full-time in the construction delivery phase of the project.

 

Your Skills & Experience

Ideally you will have relevant Tertiary and industry qualifications in engineering or construction and experience delivering HV Transmission Line projects, including a strong knowledge of electrical and power components. You will also have:

  • An ability to form effective relationships and collaborate with management, construction and procurement teams as well as external suppliers
  • A good understanding of regulatory approvals processes and requirements
  • Well-developed leadership skills and an ability to instil a culture of safety and process compliance
