An exciting opportunity currently exists for a highly motivated and suitably skilled Tax Manager to join Clough’s rapidly expanding North American business.  The role is based in our Houston, Texas office.

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, this pivotal role will be responsible for managing tax risks and opportunities in the North American market in collaboration with Clough’s Australian based Group Tax Manager.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Advising the business on US tax aspects for tenders and business development proposals
  • Working with Clough’s external advisers to manage US Federal, State and local tax compliance
  • Collaborating with Clough’s Australian based tax team to address revenue authority queries, reviews and audits
  • Preparing half-yearly tax effect accounting calculations and disclosures
  • Overseeing sales and use tax compliance
  • Managing North American transfer pricing compliance
  • Providing tax assistance for M&A activity
  • Assisting the Group Tax Manager with management of tax risks and opportunities in accordance with Clough’s Tax Governance Principles
  • Liaising with senior management on tax issues and developments

You should possess the following:

  • Relevant qualification in taxation, accounting or finance
  • CPA qualification or equivalent
  • At least 7 years of post-qualification tax experience
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Candidates with industry and/or state and local tax experience
