About the Role

We are currently searching for an additional Logistics Supervisor to join our South Flank Project Team. Reporting to the Logistics Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervision of the logistics and materials control team and coordination of nominated construction activities, within project quality, safety and environmental management plan guidelines.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Promote and ensure that safety and environmental working practises are adhered to. Ensure that Safety and Environmental management systems (procedures, JSA, Method Statements) are followed. 
  • Preparation of documentation and maintenance of records for damaged, over or short supply of material deliveries as required.
  • Maintenance of materials tracking records within SPMAT for materials, associated logistics movement & storage location.
  • Monitor each team’s productivity in relation to the associated work-pack construction material management requirements.
  • Coordination of project materials and related subcontractor materials & logistics activity with particular emphasis on management of laydown and storage areas, including receipt, inspection and dispatch of materials & equipment from the Contractor and Company Laydown Yard.
  • Coordinate interactions with mine operations and other contractors.
  • Liaise with client for inspections, sign off activities, punch-listing and all field enquiries presented by the construction team.
  • Coordinate Site support services (Peggy’s, transport, hire equipment, fuelling, TCF, tool store etc.)

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years’ experience performing in a similar role in the Mining and/or Construction Industries.
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills.
  • A strong understanding and commitment to health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite, plus IPMS, or equivalent Oracle-based material management system.
  • Certificate in Warehousing/Store or similar.
  • Construction White/Blue Card.
  • Fire extinguisher training.
