About the Role

We are currently searching for an experienced Project Controls Lead to join our Team on the South Flank Project. Based in our Perth office, this role will report to the Project Manager and will provide cost, commercial and planning leadership and expertise across our NPI Project.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide overall project cost, schedule, progress measurement, and change management leadership and expertise;
  • Lead the accurate and timely capture, analysis and reporting of construction activities performance and initiate strategies to improve outputs;
  • Implement and manage project control systems and processes to optimise the efficient management of project productivity and performance data;
  • Preparation of project programs and status update programs in compliance with contractual requirements;
  • Support and assist the contracts financial budget stakeholders with the capture and reporting of key performance data relevant to the contracts billing and project costing requirements;
  • Ensure scope of work variations, potential variations and other sales opportunities are identified and controlled;

About You

The successful candidate will have the ability to build rapport and trust with stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. In addition, you will ideally possess the following skill and experience:

  • 7+ years of project controls experience within the construction, mining or oil and gas sectors, preferably in a senior or leadership capacity;
  • Demonstrable cost control experience and practical planning capability;
  • Sound understanding of earned value management and progress reporting;
  • Experience in relevant project control systems such as MS Project, Prism, Primavera P6;
  • Experience in preparation from first principles of cost reports and progress reports;
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, finance or related field.
